The Minnesota Vikings outlasted the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a final score of 23-17 in a tightly contested Week 3 matchup of the 2026 season. Both teams were looking to solidify their early-season standings, but it was the Vikings who emerged victorious in a game defined by key plays and standout performances. Drew Allar led the Vikings' offensive charge, throwing for two touchdowns and showcasing his ability to connect with KC Concepcion Jr., who racked up 114 receiving yards. Meanwhile, Kaleb Johnson kept the Buccaneers competitive with a strong ground game, accumulating 121 rushing yards, but it wasn’t enough to secure the win. Matthew Stafford also had a solid outing, passing for 240 yards, but the Vikings’ offense proved to be more efficient when it mattered most. Defensively, the Vikings made crucial stops that played a pivotal role in their victory. Leo Chenal led the team with eight total tackles, providing a steady presence, while Abdul Carter's 1.5 sacks disrupted Tampa Bay’s offensive rhythm at key moments. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Vikings' defense forced a turnover on downs, allowing their offense to run out the clock and seal the game.
