In a high-scoring showdown, the New England Patriots topped the Kansas City Chiefs 49-30 in Week 15 of the 2026 season, solidifying their playoff positioning. This game was crucial for both teams, with the Patriots looking to maintain their momentum while the Chiefs aimed to keep their postseason hopes alive. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes led the Chiefs with 232 passing yards and a touchdown, but it was Kenneth Walker's explosive performance on the ground that stood out, racking up an impressive 212 rushing yards. Meanwhile, A.J. Brown shined for the Patriots, catching passes for 107 yards and playing a key role in their offensive success. The Patriots' balanced attack proved too much for the Chiefs to handle, as they consistently moved the ball and found the end zone. Defensively, the Patriots made crucial plays that impacted the game's flow. Darius Muasau led the way with four total tackles, while Gabe Jacas contributed with a sack, and Robert Spillane secured an interception. The turning point came in the second quarter when Spillane's pick set up another scoring drive for New England, allowing them to pull away and ultimately control the game.
