In a decisive Week 8 matchup, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers topped the Atlanta Falcons with a commanding 38-14 victory, solidifying their position in the playoff race. With this win, the Buccaneers showcased their dominance at home, leaving the Falcons struggling to find their footing in the 2026 season. Leading the charge for Tampa Bay was Baker Mayfield, who threw for 205 yards and two touchdowns, delivering a strong performance that kept the Falcons' defense on its heels. Kenny Gainwell contributed significantly on the ground, racking up 79 rushing yards, while Ted Hurst III proved to be a reliable target, finishing with 74 receiving yards. The offensive unit was efficient and balanced, which made all the difference in this matchup. On the defensive side, the Buccaneers made their mark with key plays that shifted momentum in their favor. Rueben Bain Jr. recorded a sack, while Alex Anzalone snagged an interception, both of which proved crucial in stifling any attempt at a Falcons comeback. The turning point came early in the second half when Anzalone's interception led to a quick touchdown, effectively putting the game out of reach for Atlanta.
