The New York Jets triumphed over the Detroit Lions with a final score of 38-21 in Week 3 of the 2026 season. With both teams looking to establish momentum early in the season, the Jets delivered a decisive performance that showcased their offensive firepower and defensive prowess. Breece Hall was the standout on the ground for the Jets, racking up an impressive 197 rushing yards and helping to control the pace of the game. Detroit's Jared Goff put up solid numbers with 333 passing yards and a touchdown, while Jameson Williams made significant contributions in the receiving game with 145 yards. However, it was Hall's explosive running that ultimately set the tone for New York's victory. Defensively, the Jets were led by Andre Cisco, who made a significant impact with three total tackles and two crucial interceptions that turned the tide in New York's favor. David Bailey also contributed with a sack that put pressure on Goff during critical moments. The turning point came in the second half when Cisco's second interception halted a Lions drive, allowing the Jets to extend their lead and ultimately secure the win.
