In an explosive season opener, the Dallas Cowboys topped the New York Giants with a commanding 56-28 victory. The win not only sets the tone for the Cowboys' 2026 campaign but also marks a strong statement against a division rival as both teams look to establish themselves early in the season. Dak Prescott was the star of the night, throwing for five touchdowns and showcasing his elite playmaking ability. While Jaxson Dart racked up impressive passing yards for the Giants with 362 yards, it was Jahmyr Gibbs who provided a spark on the ground with 121 rushing yards. Malik Nabers also made his mark, leading all receivers with 193 yards, but it was not enough to keep pace with Dallas' offensive onslaught. Defensively, the Cowboys were relentless, with Malachi Lawrence leading the charge with three sacks and Shavon Revel Jr. coming up big with two interceptions. The turning point came in the second quarter when Revel Jr.'s pick deep in Giants territory led to another quick touchdown for Dallas, shifting the momentum decisively in their favor. Jalen Thompson contributed with five tackles, but it was the Cowboys' ability to disrupt the Giants' rhythm that ultimately sealed the game.
