In a dominant display to kick off the 2026 season, the Green Bay Packers topped the Minnesota Vikings with a final score of 49-20. The stakes were high as both teams aimed to set the tone for the new year, but it was the Packers who asserted their dominance from the start. Jordan Love led the Packers' offense with an impressive 291 passing yards, showcasing his ability to command the game effectively. Although Kyler Murray threw three touchdown passes for the Vikings, it wasn't enough to keep pace with Green Bay's relentless scoring. Josh Jacobs contributed on the ground with 54 rushing yards, while the receiving corps remained dynamic, making significant plays throughout the contest. Defensively, the Packers were a force to be reckoned with, highlighted by Xavier McKinney's two interceptions, which shifted momentum decisively in their favor. Javon Hargrave added a sack, further disrupting the Vikings' rhythm. The turning point came when McKinney's second interception led to a quick touchdown, pushing the Packers ahead and leaving Minnesota in a deep hole they couldn't escape.
