In a commanding performance, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers topped the Carolina Panthers 41-7 in Week 12 of the 2026 season. With playoff implications on the line, the Buccaneers solidified their position in the standings with a decisive victory over their division rivals. Baker Mayfield was the star of the show, throwing for 227 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing his ability to effectively lead the offense. He also contributed on the ground with 38 rushing yards, while Chris Godwin Jr. emerged as his top target, racking up 81 receiving yards. The Buccaneers' offensive explosion was too much for the Panthers to handle throughout the game. Defensively, the Buccaneers made their mark with a crucial interception by Josiah Trotter, which swung momentum firmly in Tampa Bay's favor. Although Jaelan Phillips of the Panthers had a standout performance with six tackles and three sacks, it was not enough to slow down the Buccaneers' high-powered attack. The game's turning point came early in the second quarter when Mayfield connected with Godwin for a touchdown, giving Tampa Bay an insurmountable lead and effectively sealing the contest.
