The Detroit Lions dominated the Chicago Bears with a resounding 56-23 victory in Week 12 of the 2026 season, solidifying their playoff aspirations. With this win, the Lions not only asserted their position in the NFC but also showcased their offensive firepower against a struggling Bears team. Jared Goff led the charge for Detroit, throwing for three touchdowns while Jahmyr Gibbs exploded on the ground, amassing an impressive 188 rushing yards. Jaxon Smith-Njigba was a relentless target, racking up 182 receiving yards, as the Lions' offense showcased a balanced and potent attack that kept the Bears' defense on its heels throughout the game. Defensively, the Lions made significant contributions, highlighted by Aidan Hutchinson's two sacks, which put pressure on Bears quarterback Caleb Williams and disrupted Chicago's rhythm. The turning point came in the second quarter when a critical interception by Jack Campbell shifted momentum decisively in favor of Detroit, allowing them to pull away and ultimately secure a convincing victory.
