In an exciting Week 4 matchup of the 2026 season, the Buffalo Bills topped the New England Patriots with a final score of 27-17. This victory solidifies the Bills' position in the playoff race as they look to build momentum heading into the heart of the season. Drake Maye led the Patriots' offense with a solid performance, throwing for 231 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to make plays downfield. However, the star of the game was James Cook III, who not only rushed for 145 yards but also contributed significantly in the passing game with 92 receiving yards, proving to be an all-around offensive weapon for Buffalo. Defensively, the Bills were anchored by Terrel Bernard, who recorded seven total tackles, helping to stifle the Patriots' offensive rhythm throughout the game. The turning point came when the Bills intercepted a pass late in the third quarter, allowing them to extend their lead and shift the momentum firmly in their favor. Despite a strong showing from Maye, the Bills' defense proved too formidable, sealing the victory with key stops when it mattered most.
