The Indianapolis Colts secured a decisive victory over the Kansas City Chiefs with a final score of 38-22 in Week 2 of the 2026 season. This win not only boosts the Colts' confidence but also sets the tone for their pursuit of a playoff berth early in the year. Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr led the offensive charge with 216 passing yards, showcasing his ability to command the field effectively. Running back Jonathan Taylor added 95 rushing yards, proving to be a consistent threat on the ground, while Darius Slayton contributed significantly with 69 receiving yards and a touchdown. Despite a solid performance from Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who threw two touchdown passes, it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Colts' dynamic offense. Defensively, the Colts were dominant, with Camryn Bynum leading the charge with 11 total tackles, while JT Tuimoloau recorded 1.5 sacks to disrupt Mahomes' rhythm. However, it was Sauce Gardner's two interceptions that marked the game's turning point, as they not only halted the Chiefs' momentum but also provided the Colts with critical scoring opportunities. This balanced attack on both sides of the ball ultimately secured the Colts' comfortable win.
