In a thrilling Week 2 showdown, the Jacksonville Jaguars narrowly defeated the Denver Broncos, 27-24, to improve their season record. The stakes were high as both teams were looking to establish momentum early in the 2026 season, but it was the Jaguars who emerged victorious in a closely contested battle. Trevor Lawrence led the Jaguars' offense with a solid performance, throwing for 228 yards and helping to keep the chains moving. Meanwhile, Brian Thomas Jr. was the standout receiver, racking up 113 yards and proving to be a favorite target. Bo Nix of the Broncos also had a commendable outing, tossing two touchdown passes, but it wasn't enough to secure the win for Denver. Defensively, the Jaguars made crucial plays that turned the tide in their favor. Josh Hines-Allen recorded 1.5 sacks, applying consistent pressure on the Broncos' quarterback, while Travis Hunter's two interceptions were pivotal in stalling Denver's offensive momentum. The game's turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Hunter's second pick allowed Jacksonville to seal the victory, showcasing the impact of their defensive efforts on this hard-fought win.
