In a dominating performance, the Houston Texans defeated the Indianapolis Colts 49-7 in Week 3 of the 2026 season. The Texans controlled the game from start to finish, showcasing their high-powered offense while solidifying their early-season momentum in the AFC South. Quarterback Dak Prescott led the charge with an impressive 380 passing yards and four touchdown passes, connecting frequently with standout receiver Khalil Shakir, who racked up an astonishing 259 receiving yards. Jaylen Warren also played a key role on the ground, contributing 97 rushing yards to keep the Colts' defense on its heels throughout the contest. Defensively, the Texans were relentless, with Azeez Al-Shaair making ten total tackles and J.J. Watt imposing pressure with 2.5 sacks. The turning point came early in the second quarter when Watt's sack led to a fumble recovery, allowing Houston to extend their lead to 28-0. The Colts struggled to find any rhythm offensively, largely due to the Texans' suffocating defense, which stifled their attempts to mount a comeback.
