In a thrilling Week 2 matchup, the San Francisco 49ers narrowly defeated the San Juan Tigers with a final score of 29-22. The stakes were high as both teams sought to establish momentum early in the 2027 season, but it was the 49ers who emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive firepower and strategic play. Brock Purdy was the standout performer for San Francisco, throwing for an impressive 386 yards and two touchdowns, demonstrating precision and poise in the pocket. He connected frequently with De'Zhaun Stribling, who racked up an eye-popping 183 receiving yards, proving to be a dominant force in the receiving game. Meanwhile, Rachaad White led the ground attack for the Tigers with 55 rushing yards, but it was not enough to keep pace with the 49ers' prolific offense. Defensively, the 49ers made key contributions that helped sway the game in their favor. Gracen Halton recorded 1.5 sacks, putting pressure on the Tigers' quarterback, while Kamren Kinchens secured an interception that proved pivotal in stalling a potential scoring drive. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the 49ers' defense held strong, allowing them to maintain their lead and secure the win.
