In a high-scoring affair, the New England Patriots topped the Los Angeles Chargers 52-28 in Week 12 of the 2026 season, solidifying their playoff aspirations. Both teams entered the matchup vying for crucial momentum as the season nears its conclusion, but it was the Patriots who emerged victorious with a commanding performance. TreVeyon Henderson was a standout for New England, amassing 166 rushing yards and finding the end zone, while quarterback Justin Herbert of the Chargers threw for an impressive 372 yards and four touchdowns. Despite the loss, Herbert's aerial assault and Brenen Thompson's 170 receiving yards showcased the Chargers' offensive firepower, but it ultimately fell short against the Patriots' relentless attack. The defensive efforts of the Patriots proved pivotal, particularly Craig Woodson's two interceptions that shifted the momentum in New England's favor. While the Chargers' Tarheeb Still led the game with seven tackles, it was Woodson's timely picks that turned the tide, marking a key turning point in a game where the Patriots' defense was able to contain the Chargers' explosive offense when it mattered most.
