In a decisive matchup, the San Antonio Bisons topped the Albuquerque Armadillos 31-17 in Week 4 of the 2027 season. With this victory, the Bisons solidified their position as a formidable contender in the league, while the Armadillos look to regroup after falling short at home. Hollywood Smothers was the standout performer for San Antonio, dominating the ground game with an impressive 207 rushing yards. Quarterback Josh Allen led the Armadillos with 155 passing yards and one touchdown, but it was not enough to keep pace with the explosive Bisons offense. Kenyon Sadiq contributed to the aerial attack, adding 65 receiving yards. Defensively, the Bisons stifled Albuquerque's efforts, forcing crucial turnovers and limiting their offensive rhythm. The game's turning point came in the second quarter when San Antonio intercepted a key pass, leading to a touchdown that widened their lead. Despite Greg Rousseau's solid performance with a sack and Jordan Hancock's four tackles, the Armadillos couldn't contain the relentless Bisons rushing attack, which proved to be the difference maker in this contest.
