In a commanding performance, the Dallas Cowboys secured a 27-9 victory over the Washington Commanders in Week 2 of the 2026 season. With this win, the Cowboys improve their record as they look to solidify their place in the playoff hunt early in the season. Dak Prescott led the charge for Dallas with an impressive 270 passing yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to make crucial plays under pressure. Javonte Williams was a reliable target, racking up 84 receiving yards, while the running game was held in check, limiting Jayden Daniels of Washington to just 28 rushing yards. Defensively, the Cowboys were relentless, with Caleb Downs leading the team in tackles with five, and DeMarvion Overshown making a key interception that shifted momentum in favor of Dallas. Frankie Luvu managed to sack Prescott, but it was the Cowboys' ability to stifle the Commanders' offensive efforts that proved decisive, especially as they built an insurmountable lead in the second half.
