In an electrifying wildcard matchup, the New England Patriots topped the Indianapolis Colts 42-31, securing their place in the next round of the playoffs. Both teams fought hard, but the Patriots' explosive offense ultimately proved too much for the Colts to handle. Drake Maye showcased his talent, throwing for 276 yards and four touchdowns, leading the way for New England's high-powered attack. Eli Raridon was his favorite target, racking up 110 receiving yards, while the ground game was effective with balanced contributions that kept the Colts' defense guessing. Defensively, the Patriots were able to make key plays when it mattered, with Milton Williams recording a crucial sack that stalled a Colts drive. Although Indianapolis's Jonathan Taylor had a standout performance with 165 rushing yards, the game turned when Maye connected on multiple scoring drives, allowing New England to build a lead they would not relinquish. The Colts struggled to respond, ultimately falling short in their comeback efforts.
