In a thrilling Week 9 matchup, the Las Vegas Raiders narrowly defeated the Tokyo 49ers with a final score of 38-35. This victory solidifies the Raiders' position as they push for playoff contention, while the 49ers will need to regroup after a hard-fought battle that showcased their resilience. Leading the charge for the Raiders was quarterback Fernando Mendoza, who threw for an impressive 340 yards, with star receiver Brock Bowers hauling in 153 of those yards. Meanwhile, Brock Purdy of the 49ers shone brightly as well, tossing four touchdown passes, keeping his team competitive throughout the game. Despite limited rushing production from Breece Hall, who managed just 36 yards, the Raiders' passing game proved to be the decisive factor. Defensively, the 49ers made their presence known, with Jack Jones recording three total tackles and an interception, while Mykel Williams added a sack to the mix. However, the turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Raiders' offense executed a crucial drive that led to a touchdown, allowing them to hold off a late surge from the 49ers and secure the victory.
