In a thrilling Week 8 matchup, the Denver Broncos topped the Kansas City Chiefs with a final score of 35-21, solidifying their position in the playoff race. This victory was crucial for Denver as they look to gain momentum in a competitive AFC West. Bo Nix led the Broncos' offense with an impressive performance, throwing for 212 yards and two touchdowns. His connection with Troy Franklin was particularly lethal, as Franklin racked up 122 receiving yards, making key plays that kept the Chiefs' defense on their heels. Kenneth Walker of the Chiefs did his best to keep pace, rushing for 111 yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome Denver's offensive firepower. Defensively, the Broncos made significant contributions to their success, most notably from Patrick Surtain II, who intercepted a pass that shifted the momentum in the second half. The Chiefs' defense struggled to contain the Broncos’ scoring, and despite a strong effort from Joey Bosa, who recorded a sack, it was Denver's ability to force turnovers and make critical stops that ultimately sealed the game. The turning point came when Surtain's interception set up a touchdown drive, giving the Broncos a lead they would not relinquish.
