In a commanding performance, the Tokyo 49ers defeated the Atlanta Falcons 49-28 in Week 7 of the 2026 season. This victory not only solidifies the 49ers' position in the playoff race but also showcases their offensive firepower against a struggling Falcons team. Brock Purdy was the standout for the 49ers, throwing for an impressive 293 yards and a staggering six touchdown passes. De'Zhaun Stribling was his favorite target, racking up 128 receiving yards, while the Falcons' Bijan Robinson shined on the ground with 201 rushing yards, though it was not enough to match the 49ers' aerial assault. Defensively, the 49ers made crucial plays that shifted the momentum. Jack Jones intercepted two passes, providing the 49ers with key turnovers that stifled any potential Falcons comeback. With Nick Bosa adding a sack to his resume and Deommodore Lenoir leading the team in tackles, the 49ers' defense played a vital role in maintaining control throughout the game, especially during a pivotal stretch where they forced consecutive turnovers to extend their lead.
