The Pittsburgh Steelers topped the Indianapolis Colts with a commanding final score of 49-21, solidifying their place in the playoff race as the 2026 season progresses. With this victory, the Steelers showcased their offensive firepower, while the Colts struggled to keep pace, ultimately falling behind in the second half. Leading the charge for Pittsburgh was quarterback Ty Simpson, who delivered a standout performance with 349 passing yards and five touchdown throws. His connection with DK Metcalf was particularly lethal, as Metcalf racked up 202 receiving yards, proving to be a constant threat downfield. Additionally, Rico Dowdle contributed significantly on the ground with 105 rushing yards, further adding to the Steelers' offensive dominance. On the defensive side, the Steelers made critical plays to stifle any Colts comeback attempts. Cam Heyward's 1.5 sacks highlighted the pressure the defense applied throughout the game, while Jamel Dean's interception shifted momentum decisively in Pittsburgh's favor. The turning point came late in the second quarter when the Steelers scored back-to-back touchdowns, effectively putting the game out of reach for Indianapolis.
