In a commanding performance, the Detroit Lions topped the Minnesota Vikings 61-29 in Week 15 of the 2026 season. This victory solidifies the Lions' playoff ambitions, while the Vikings struggle to keep their postseason hopes alive. Jared Goff was the standout on offense, throwing for an impressive 374 yards and five touchdowns, showcasing his prowess as the team's leader. He also contributed on the ground with 74 rushing yards, making him a dual-threat throughout the game. Although Justin Jefferson had a strong outing for the Vikings with 161 receiving yards, it wasn't enough to keep pace with Goff's explosive performance. Defensively, Aidan Hutchinson was a force, racking up four sacks that disrupted the Vikings' offensive rhythm and were crucial in shifting momentum. The Lions also benefited from a key interception by Chuck Clark, further limiting Minnesota's scoring opportunities. The turning point came early in the second half when Hutchinson's pressure led to a critical turnover, allowing Detroit to pull away and secure the victory.
