In a decisive Week 7 matchup, the Pittsburgh Steelers topped the New Orleans Saints 26-13, solidifying their position in the playoff race. The stakes were high as both teams sought to improve their standings in the competitive landscape of the 2026 season. Pittsburgh's offense was powered by a steady performance from running back Jaylen Warren, who rushed for 75 yards, while quarterback Tyler Shough of the Saints showcased his arm with 263 passing yards and a strong connection to receiver Chris Olave, who racked up 105 receiving yards. However, it was the Steelers’ ability to find the end zone that ultimately made the difference, as they capitalized on scoring opportunities throughout the game. Defensively, the Steelers were relentless, with Alex Highsmith leading the charge with three sacks that disrupted the Saints' rhythm. This defensive pressure proved to be a turning point, especially in the second half when Highsmith's third sack resulted in a critical turnover that swung momentum firmly in Pittsburgh's favor. The combination of stout defense and timely offensive plays allowed the Steelers to maintain control and secure the victory.
