In a thrilling Week 5 matchup, the Detroit Lions narrowly defeated the Arizona Cardinals 20-17, keeping their playoff hopes alive as the season reaches its midpoint. The game was a tightly contested battle, with both teams trading blows and showcasing their offensive prowess throughout. Jared Goff led the Lions with an impressive 300 passing yards, connecting frequently with Jameson Williams, who racked up 109 receiving yards. Meanwhile, Carson Beck of the Cardinals threw for two touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough to secure the win as the Lions managed to maintain their composure in crucial moments. Jahmyr Gibbs added to Detroit's offensive output with a solid 71 rushing yards, contributing to the team's overall effectiveness on the ground.
