In a commanding performance, the Philadelphia Eagles toppled the New York Giants 21-0 in Week 5 of the 2028 season. With this victory, the Eagles assert themselves as a dominant force in the division, while the Giants continue to struggle in their quest for a winning record. Darian Mensah led the Eagles' offense with a solid outing, throwing for one touchdown despite limited passing yards. Saquon Barkley was the standout on the ground and through the air, accumulating 36 rushing yards and a remarkable 64 receiving yards, showcasing his versatility and playmaking ability. The Eagles' offense consistently found ways to move the ball, putting pressure on the Giants' defense throughout the game. Defensively, the Eagles were relentless, with Jalen Carter recording a sack and Riq Woolen adding an interception to stifle any hopes of a Giants comeback. The turning point came early in the second half when Woolen’s interception set up a quick touchdown, effectively sealing the game. The Giants' inability to generate offense, with Jaxson Dart only managing 90 passing yards, left them outmatched against a well-rounded Eagles squad.
