In a hard-fought Week 3 matchup, the Jacksonville Jaguars narrowly defeated the New England Patriots with a final score of 16-10. This victory keeps the Jaguars competitive in the early stages of the 2026 season, while the Patriots will have to regroup after falling short on the road. Trevor Lawrence was the standout offensive performer for Jacksonville, throwing for 182 yards and a touchdown. Brian Thomas Jr. was his primary target, racking up 78 receiving yards, while Rhamondre Stevenson led the Patriots' ground attack with 96 rushing yards. However, it was Jacksonville’s ability to convert key plays that ultimately secured their victory. Defensively, the Jaguars were led by Foyesade Oluokun, who recorded seven total tackles, providing a steady presence throughout the game. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Jaguars' defense held strong, preventing the Patriots from scoring a potential game-tying touchdown. Christian Elliss contributed two sacks for New England, but it wasn’t enough to shift the momentum in their favor as Jacksonville held on for the win.
