In a thrilling matchup, the Indianapolis Colts narrowly defeated the Houston Texans 31-24 in Week 3 of the 2026 season. With both teams looking to establish their footing early in the year, this victory gives the Colts a crucial boost in the AFC South standings. Colts quarterback Daniel Jones led the charge, throwing for 256 yards and a touchdown, while running back Kareem Hunt showcased his skills on the ground with 99 rushing yards. Despite the Texans’ efforts, it was Jones’ efficient play that set the tone for Indianapolis, allowing them to maintain control throughout the game. Defensively, the Colts made significant contributions, highlighted by Akeem Davis-Gaither’s seven tackles and DeForest Buckner’s 1.5 sacks, which disrupted Houston's offensive rhythm.
