In a commanding performance, the Buffalo Bills topped the Arizona Cardinals with a final score of 45-27, improving their record to 2-1 in the 2028 season. With both teams looking to gain momentum early in the year, the Bills’ explosive offense proved too much for the Cardinals to handle. Leading the charge for Buffalo, quarterback Josh Allen threw for five touchdowns, showcasing his prowess in the passing game. He connected with Tyler Harrell for a remarkable 173 yards, making Harrell a key target in the Bills' offensive scheme. Running back James Cook III contributed with 66 rushing yards, rounding out a balanced offensive attack that kept the Cardinals on their heels throughout the contest. Defensively, the Bills made crucial plays that shifted the momentum in their favor. Cornerback Christian Benford's two interceptions were pivotal, halting potential scoring drives and setting up the Bills for additional points. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Benford's second pick led to an Allen touchdown pass, pushing Buffalo’s lead to a comfortable margin that the Cardinals could not recover from.
