In a thrilling season opener, the Seattle Seahawks narrowly defeated the New England Patriots, 34-28, in front of an electrified home crowd. This matchup marked a crucial start to the 2026 season, with both teams eager to set the tone for the year ahead. Seattle quarterback Jalen Milroe was the star of the show, throwing for 274 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing his ability to command the offense. His primary target, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, was unstoppable, racking up an impressive 203 receiving yards and finding the end zone as well. Despite the Patriots' efforts, their rushing game struggled, with TreVeyon Henderson managing only 23 yards on the ground. Defensively, the Seahawks made crucial plays that shifted momentum in their favor.
