The Indianapolis Colts secured a decisive 38-21 victory over the Cleveland Browns in Week 17 of the 2026 season, solidifying their playoff hopes with a crucial win. The stakes were high as both teams sought to gain momentum heading into the postseason, but the Colts ultimately outperformed the Browns on both sides of the ball. Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr led the charge with two passing touchdowns, while Shedeur Sanders of the Browns threw for a commendable 312 yards but struggled to find the end zone. Jonathan Taylor contributed significantly on the ground, racking up 82 rushing yards, while Alec Pierce emerged as a key target, amassing 116 receiving yards, showcasing the Colts' offensive firepower. Defensively, the Colts made their mark with CJ Allen recording a team-high eight tackles and Charvarius Ward Sr snagging an interception that shifted momentum. The turning point came in the second quarter when the Colts capitalized on a turnover, leading to a touchdown that gave them a commanding lead they would not relinquish. Despite a strong performance from the Browns’ Jared Verse, who notched 2.5 sacks, it was not enough to change the outcome as the Colts' defense held firm throughout the game.
