In a crucial Week 16 matchup, the Philadelphia Eagles secured a 21-13 victory over the Houston Texans, solidifying their playoff positioning with just one game left in the regular season. The win was vital for the Eagles, who aimed to maintain momentum heading into the postseason while the Texans fought to keep their own playoff hopes alive. Jalen Hurts delivered a standout performance for Philadelphia, throwing for 270 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the offense effectively. DeVonta Smith was his favorite target, racking up an impressive 153 receiving yards, making key catches that kept the chains moving. While the Texans' David Montgomery had a strong showing with 97 rushing yards, it wasn't enough to overcome the Eagles' offensive firepower. Defensively, the Eagles made significant contributions, highlighted by Cooper DeJean's two interceptions, which proved pivotal in stifling Houston's momentum. Jonathan Greenard added pressure with a sack, while the Texans' Azeez Al-Shaair led the game in tackles, totaling seven. The turning point came late in the second half when DeJean's second interception thwarted a potential scoring drive, allowing the Eagles to maintain their lead and ultimately seal the victory.
