The Denver Broncos held off the Minnesota Vikings with a final score of 38-24 in Week 3 of the 2027 season. This victory not only boosts Denver's confidence but also places them firmly in the conversation for playoff contention early in the season. The Broncos showcased a powerful offensive performance that proved too much for the Vikings to handle. Leading the charge for the Broncos was quarterback Bo Nix, who threw for 347 yards and three touchdowns, demonstrating both accuracy and poise under pressure. Running back Bucky Irving was a force on the ground, racking up an impressive 195 rushing yards, while wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. contributed significantly with 96 receiving yards. This offensive trio dismantled the Vikings' defense and kept the momentum squarely on Denver's side. Defensively, the Broncos also made their presence felt, with Troy Andersen leading the team with five total tackles. Nik Bonitto added to the pressure on the Vikings’ offense with a key sack, disrupting their rhythm at critical moments. The Broncos' ability to stifle Minnesota’s scoring opportunities was evident, particularly in the second half, where Denver's defense tightened, allowing them to maintain their lead and ultimately secure the win.
