In a tightly contested matchup, the New York Giants narrowly defeated the Houston Texans 21-19 in Week 7 of the 2026 season. Both teams came into the game looking to solidify their playoff positioning, but it was the Giants who ultimately came out on top in a thrilling finish. Giants running back Cam Skattebo was the star of the show, racking up an impressive 143 rushing yards to help propel his team to victory. On the other side, Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud showcased his skills with 233 passing yards and a touchdown, while wide receiver Kayshon Boutte torched the Giants' secondary for 161 receiving yards, keeping Houston competitive throughout the game. Defensively, Arvell Reese was a force for the Giants, leading the team with nine total tackles and two sacks, instrumental in applying pressure on Stroud. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Giants’ defense held firm, forcing the Texans to settle for a field goal instead of a potential game-winning touchdown. This crucial stand allowed New York to secure the win and maintain their momentum heading into the second half of the season.
