In a thrilling Week 1 matchup of the 2026 season, the Green Bay Packers held off the Minnesota Vikings with a final score of 35-26. This victory sets the tone for both teams as they look to establish their identities early in the season. Kyler Murray shone for the Vikings, throwing for 232 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the offense effectively. However, it was Josh Jacobs of the Packers who stole the show on the ground, rushing for 109 yards and providing the necessary balance to Green Bay's attack. Jordan Addison contributed significantly for Minnesota, racking up 90 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to secure the win. Defensively, the Packers made pivotal plays that turned the tide in their favor. Isaiah McDuffie was a standout with two interceptions, disrupting Minnesota's momentum and providing key opportunities for the offense. Lukas Van Ness added a sack to the mix, further pressuring Murray and making it difficult for the Vikings to maintain drives when it mattered most. The combination of timely turnovers and a strong pass rush proved decisive in Green Bay’s victory.
