In a high-octane offensive showdown, the Seattle Seahawks triumphed over the New England Patriots with a final score of 74-44 in their Week 1 matchup of the 2026 season. This game showcased the explosive potential of both teams, but it was the Seahawks who pulled away, establishing an early lead that proved insurmountable for the Patriots. Jalen Milroe was the standout performer for Seattle, throwing for an impressive seven touchdowns, while Drake Maye of New England put up a staggering 553 passing yards in a valiant effort. A.J. Brown also shone for the Patriots, racking up 209 receiving yards, but the Patriots' offense could not keep pace with the relentless Seahawks attack. Defensively, the Seahawks managed to make crucial stops, with Ernest Jones IV securing an interception that shifted momentum in favor of Seattle. The turning point in the game came midway through the second quarter when Milroe connected with his receivers for three quick touchdowns, putting the Seahawks ahead by three scores. Despite Gabe Jacas's strong defensive performance for New England, including three sacks, it wasn’t enough to halt the Seattle onslaught.
