The New York Giants secured a commanding victory over the Detroit Lions with a final score of 39-14 in Week 16 of the 2026 season. With playoff implications hanging in the balance, the Giants' offense showcased its prowess, leaving the Lions to regroup as they fell behind in the standings. On the offensive side, Jared Goff led the Lions with a solid performance, throwing for 241 yards and two touchdowns. However, it was the Giants' Cam Skattebo who made his mark on the ground, racking up 60 rushing yards. Meanwhile, Jahmyr Gibbs stood out for Detroit with a remarkable 181 receiving yards, though it wasn't enough to shift momentum. Defensively, Christian Harris of the Giants was a force with five total tackles, helping to stifle the Lions' offensive efforts. The turning point came when the Giants' defense intercepted Goff, shifting the tide and allowing New York to capitalize on the momentum. Ultimately, the Giants' ability to control both sides of the ball secured their decisive win.
