In a decisive Week 2 matchup of the 2027 season, the Carolina Panthers topped the Arizona Cardinals 29-15, securing their first win of the year. With both teams looking to establish momentum early in the season, the Panthers delivered a strong performance that kept the Cardinals at bay throughout the contest. Leading the charge for Carolina was quarterback Bryce Young, who showcased his talent with 243 passing yards and two touchdown throws. Meanwhile, Chris Brazzell II emerged as his favorite target, racking up 108 receiving yards, while Arizona's Jeremiyah Love led the ground game with 77 rushing yards but couldn't keep pace with the Panthers’ offense. Defensively, the Panthers were relentless, with Nic Scourton recording five total tackles and three sacks, disrupting Arizona's offensive rhythm. The game's turning point came in the second quarter when Scourton's pressure led to an interception by Orlando Gillislee, setting up a crucial touchdown drive that gave Carolina a commanding lead. The Panthers' defense held firm, ultimately sealing the victory and limiting the Cardinals' scoring opportunities.
