In a commanding performance, the San Francisco 49ers defeated the Minnesota Vikings 41-14 in Week 4 of the 2027 season. This victory not only boosts the 49ers' momentum but also puts them in a strong position in the race for playoff contention as they continue to establish themselves as a dominant force in the league. Brock Purdy led the charge for San Francisco with an impressive 219 passing yards, while Christian McCaffrey showcased his explosive running ability, racking up 135 rushing yards. De'Zhaun Stribling was a key target in the passing game, contributing 97 receiving yards and making crucial plays throughout the contest. Meanwhile, J.J. McCarthy of the Vikings threw two touchdown passes, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the relentless 49ers offense. Defensively, the 49ers were opportunistic, with Deommodore Lenoir snagging an interception that shifted the game's momentum. The Vikings struggled to contain the 49ers' offensive onslaught, and the turning point came in the second quarter when Lenoir's interception led to a quick touchdown, putting San Francisco firmly in control. Despite Joshua Uche’s nine tackles for Minnesota, the defensive effort fell short as the 49ers continued to exploit weaknesses, ultimately sealing the game with a dominant performance on both sides of the ball.
