In a thrilling Week 8 matchup, the Denver Broncos held off the Kansas City Chiefs with a final score of 28-24, marking a significant victory as they aim for playoff positioning. The stakes were high, with both teams vying for dominance in the competitive AFC West, but it was the Broncos who emerged victorious on their home turf. Patrick Mahomes showcased his elite talent for the Chiefs, throwing for 301 yards and three touchdowns, but it was Puka Nacua's stellar performance that stole the spotlight, racking up 135 receiving yards for the Broncos. Denver's offense executed effectively, capitalizing on key opportunities to keep the Chiefs' defense on their heels throughout the contest. Defensively, the Broncos made critical plays that turned the tide in their favor, highlighted by Malcolm Roach's 1.5 sacks, which disrupted Mahomes' rhythm. The turning point came in the second half when Jadon Canady's interception helped stall a promising Kansas City drive, allowing Denver to maintain momentum and secure the win.
