In an explosive opening week of the 2027 season, the Denver Broncos topped the Las Vegas Raiders with a final score of 54-38. This matchup set the tone for both teams as they look to establish their identities early in the season, but it was the Broncos who emerged victorious with a commanding performance. Bo Nix was the star of the night, throwing for an impressive 415 yards and five touchdowns, showcasing his ability to dissect the Raiders' defense. George Pickens was his favorite target, racking up 140 receiving yards and playing a crucial role in Denver's aerial assault. Meanwhile, the Raiders struggled to find their rhythm offensively, with Mike Washington Jr. leading them in rushing with just 42 yards. Defensively, the Broncos were relentless, with Nik Bonitto making a significant impact, recording six total tackles and four sacks. His pressure on the quarterback was a game-changer, disrupting the Raiders' passing game at key moments. The turning point came when Bonitto's sack led to an interception by Evan Johnson, firmly shifting momentum in favor of the Broncos and sealing their impressive victory.
