In a commanding season opener, the Dallas Cowboys triumphed over the New York Giants with a final score of 38-14. With this victory, the Cowboys set a strong tone for the 2027 season, showcasing their dominance on both sides of the ball. Quarterback Dak Prescott was the star of the show, throwing for 315 yards and two touchdowns, while also leading the offense with precision and poise. CeeDee Lamb added to the offensive fireworks, racking up 117 receiving yards, and Javonte Williams contributed on the ground with 65 rushing yards. This offensive onslaught proved too much for the Giants to handle. Defensively, the Cowboys were equally impressive, with Rashan Gary leading the charge by notching two sacks and disrupting the Giants' rhythm. The turning point came midway through the second quarter when Dallas scored back-to-back touchdowns, stretching their lead to a comfortable margin. Despite Jevon Holland's effort on defense for the Giants with eight total tackles, the Cowboys' relentless pressure and scoring prowess sealed the game early on.
