In a thrilling season opener, the Jacksonville Jaguars topped the Carolina Panthers 44-31, showcasing their offensive prowess in Week 1 of the 2027 season. With both teams eager to set the tone for the year, the Jaguars emerged victorious, signaling their intent to contend this season. Trevor Lawrence was in top form for Jacksonville, throwing for an impressive 380 yards and finding the end zone five times, solidifying his role as a key playmaker. Meanwhile, Bhayshul Tuten added a solid ground game with 85 rushing yards, providing balance to the Jaguars’ offense. On the other side, Dorian Fleming stood out for the Panthers, racking up 130 receiving yards, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with Jacksonville's explosive attack. Defensively, the Jaguars faced challenges, but the Panthers were unable to capitalize fully on their opportunities. Joey Bosa recorded a sack, and Jayden Bellamy snagged an interception, but the Jaguars' offense proved too dynamic. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Lawrence connected for his fourth touchdown, widening the gap and shifting momentum firmly in Jacksonville’s favor.
