In a thrilling Week 2 matchup of the 2027 season, the Detroit Lions topped the Seattle Seahawks with a final score of 30-22. This victory not only boosts the Lions' early-season momentum but also sets the tone for a competitive NFC landscape as both teams vie for playoff positioning. Julian Sayin led the charge for Detroit, throwing for an impressive 423 yards and securing two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to stretch the field. Meanwhile, Jahmyr Gibbs provided a strong receiving option, racking up 158 yards, which helped keep the Seahawks' defense on its heels. Isaac Brown was a standout for Seattle as well, rushing for a staggering 246 yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Lions' offensive firepower. Defensively, the Lions were able to contain the Seahawks' explosive ground game just enough to secure the win. The game's turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Detroit's defense forced a crucial turnover, allowing them to maintain their lead. While Devon Witherspoon made eight tackles for Seattle and Ashton Hampton intercepted two passes, the Lions' ability to capitalize on key moments ultimately sealed the victory.
