In a thrilling Week 7 clash, the Carolina Panthers narrowly defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a final score of 24-19. This victory was crucial for the Panthers as they look to solidify their position in the playoff race while the Buccaneers aimed to bounce back from recent struggles. Bryce Young led the charge for Carolina, throwing for 229 yards and showcasing his ability to command the offense. Chuba Hubbard was a force on the ground, racking up 97 rushing yards that kept the Buccaneers' defense on their toes. Meanwhile, Baker Mayfield connected on one touchdown pass for Tampa Bay, but it wasn't enough to clinch the win as the Panthers' offense proved more effective overall. Defensively, the Panthers made their presence felt with standout performances, particularly from Devin Lloyd, who recorded nine total tackles. The game's turning point came when Mike Jackson intercepted a crucial pass from Mayfield, shifting momentum firmly in Carolina's favor. Despite a solid effort from the Buccaneers' defense, including a half-sack from Calijah Kancey, they ultimately could not contain the Panthers' balanced attack, sealing their fate in this tightly contested matchup.
