The Buffalo Bills kicked off the 2027 season with a thrilling 28-21 victory over the New York Jets in a matchup that had playoff implications written all over it. Both teams came into the game with hopes of establishing early dominance in the division, but it was Buffalo that ultimately prevailed in a tightly contested affair. Josh Allen shone for the Bills, throwing for 255 yards and leading his team’s offense with poise and precision. Complementing his efforts was James Cook III, who rushed for 77 yards, helping to maintain a balanced attack. On the other side, Deshaun Watson threw two touchdown passes for the Jets, while Kenyon Sadiq emerged as a standout receiver with 113 yards, showcasing his big-play ability. Defensively, the game turned when the Bills' secondary managed to contain Watson's deep threats, limiting the Jets' scoring opportunities in key moments. Although the Jets' Minkah Fitzpatrick led the defense with four tackles and Dre Greenlaw snagged two interceptions, it was Buffalo's ability to force turnovers and maintain pressure that ultimately secured their victory. The Bills' defense stepped up when it mattered most, ensuring they held off the Jets’ late-game surge.
