In a high-scoring affair to kick off the 2027 season, the Carolina Panthers emerged victorious, defeating the Atlanta Falcons 52-34. Both teams showcased explosive offensive talents, but the Panthers proved to be the more efficient side, seizing the momentum early in the game. Carolina's Kevin Jennings led the charge with an impressive performance, throwing for 311 yards and three touchdowns. He connected frequently with Chris Brazzell II, who notched 142 receiving yards, making crucial plays that kept the Falcons on their heels. Meanwhile, Bijan Robinson of the Falcons made his mark with a staggering 202 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to shift the tide in Atlanta's favor. The Panthers' defense made key plays that ultimately secured the win, spearheaded by Amare Campbell, who tallied four total tackles and a sack. Christian Gray was instrumental as well, recording two interceptions that thwarted Atlanta's drives and shifted momentum back to Carolina.
