In a commanding performance, the San Francisco 49ers topped the Cincinnati Bengals 55-28 in Week 8 of the 2027 season. The victory keeps the 49ers firmly in the playoff hunt, showcasing their explosive offensive capabilities against a struggling Bengals defense. Leading the charge for San Francisco was quarterback Brock Purdy, who threw for an astonishing 478 yards and seven touchdowns, delivering a masterclass in aerial assault. Running back Mark Fletcher Jr. contributed significantly with 120 rushing yards, while KJ Duff emerged as a standout target, racking up 287 receiving yards to keep the Bengals' secondary on their heels throughout the game. The 49ers' defense played a crucial role in securing the win, with Marques Sigle snagging an interception that shifted momentum in the first half. Although the Bengals' DJ McEachin led with four tackles, it was ultimately San Francisco's relentless pressure that hampered Cincinnati's offensive rhythm. The turning point came when Purdy connected with Duff for a long touchdown, extending the lead and leaving the Bengals struggling to mount a comeback.
