In a pivotal Week 15 matchup, the Detroit Lions topped the Minnesota Vikings with a final score of 35-21, solidifying their playoff position as the regular season winds down. The Lions' victory was crucial in maintaining momentum heading into the postseason, while the Vikings struggled to keep their playoff hopes alive. Jared Goff led the Lions' offense with precision, throwing for two touchdowns and steering the team to a commanding performance. Jacob Saylors contributed significantly on the ground, racking up 85 rushing yards, while Kayshon Boutte of the Vikings countered with 83 receiving yards, showcasing a strong aerial attack despite the loss. Jaxson Dart also had a notable day, accumulating 262 passing yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome Detroit's offensive firepower. Defensively, the Lions made pivotal plays that turned the tide of the game, most notably Jack Campbell's interception that halted a promising Vikings drive. Aidan Hutchinson applied consistent pressure, recording half a sack, which disrupted Minnesota's rhythm. Clark Phillips III led the Vikings' defense with ten total tackles, but ultimately, it was Detroit's ability to capitalize on key moments that secured their victory.
