In a decisive Week 16 matchup, the Seattle Seahawks defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers with a final score of 27-9, solidifying their playoff standing as the season draws to a close. The Seahawks showcased their dominance on both sides of the ball, while the Steelers struggled to keep pace in a critical contest that could have significant playoff implications. Sam Darnold led the charge for Seattle with an impressive 244 passing yards, connecting effectively with Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who racked up 107 receiving yards. Travis Etienne Jr. added a solid ground game, contributing 65 rushing yards to keep the Steelers' defense on its heels throughout the game. The Seahawks' offensive versatility proved too much for Pittsburgh to handle. Defensively, Seattle made their presence felt, with Derick Hall recording two sacks to disrupt Pittsburgh's offensive rhythm. The turning point came early in the second half when Hall's pressure led to a costly turnover, allowing the Seahawks to extend their lead. Although Jalen Ramsey of the Steelers registered seven tackles and an interception, it wasn’t enough to turn the tide, as Seattle's defense held strong and maintained control of the game.
