In a commanding performance, the New York Jets topped the Green Bay Packers 45-24 in Week 2 of the 2026 season. The victory not only boosts the Jets' confidence but also sets a tone for their season as they seek to establish themselves as playoff contenders. Justin Fields was the standout for the Jets, throwing for 292 yards and two touchdowns, demonstrating his ability to lead the offense effectively. Breece Hall contributed significantly on the ground with 75 rushing yards, while the Jets' aerial attack kept the Packers' defense on their heels. Despite a stellar performance from Christian Watson of the Packers, who racked up 150 receiving yards, it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Jets' offensive firepower. Defensively, the Jets made key plays at crucial moments, with David Bailey recording 1.5 sacks to apply pressure on the Packers' quarterback. Antoine Winfield Jr. added to the Jets' defensive efforts with an interception, turning the tide in the second half. The game's turning point came when the Jets scored back-to-back touchdowns in the third quarter, effectively sealing their dominance and leaving the Packers with little chance for a comeback.
